Ready to sell your Apple device but do not know how to remove your iCloud account from your iPhone or iPad? In this blog, we will be going through the steps on how to remove your iCloud account either by directly using your device or using a computer/laptop.

Before all else, please make sure you have saved/backed up all your iCloud information prior to removing your iCloud account from your device.

If using your Apple device,

Step 1: Insure your device is connected to WiFi.

Step 2: Click on the Settings app.

Step 3: Then, click on your Apple ID > scroll to the bottom and select the device you wish to remove your iCloud account from.

Step 4: Once you have selected the device you want removed, click on Find My iPhone and disable/turn it off.

Step 5: From there, it will promptly ask you to sign into your account using your Apple ID password, in order to turn off Find My iPhone.

Step 6: After that, Find My iPhone should be turned off and you can then proceed to sign out of your account by simply clicking on Sign Out located at the bottom of the previous page.

In these six easy steps, your Apple device should now be removed from your iCloud account.

If using a desktop/laptop,

Step 1: Go to iCloud.com

Step 2: Log into your Apple ID > verification code will be sent to your current device > Select Trust Browser

Step 4: Click on Find My iPhone > select All Devices drop down menu > Select the device you want to erase

Step 4: Once you have selected your device, Select Erase iPhone/iPad > sign in using your Apple ID password > another verification code will be sent to your device > select Trust again

Step 5: Lastly, select Remove From Account and you should see a message saying, “This iPhone/iPad will be erased when it connects to the internet.”

The next time your device is turned on and connected to the internet, the device will begin erasing all of its contents.
